Boy, have we been busy! Last Friday we were sent to Puerto Rico and then on to St. Kitts for a zone conference. We learned lots, were taught by many good people and especially our President Alverado. We have given out many copies of The Book of Mormon and Fred made up some followup sheets which the people fill out so we can contact them in a week or so. Every oportunity we have we talk to people. One of the things we enjoy doing is going down to the dock and watch the cruise ships come in and also watch when they leave as they are visible from our front porch. The carribean sea is just 2 blocks from our apartment. This picture may have been taken in the jungle on our way to the airport for our zone conference in St. Kitts.
Today was our first real p-day so we took a ride down to Scotts Point in an area where Pirates of the Carribean was filmed. Didn't see anything about it there. As we drove Fred saw a pretty flower, stopped, picked it and put it in my hair. I ended up with 4 different flowers. What a guy!
We saw a little road that we felt inspired to go down and it turned out to be a cute little home and a very nice lady who invited us in and we gave her a copy of The Book of Mormon. She was very friendly and receptive and plan to go see her in the near future when the rest of her family is home.
This weekend we went up to Portsmouth where Ross University Medical School is located. There are many members up there going to school and many are returned missionaries. They had a family fun day and needed our truck to transport all the things to the park across from the Church as we are the only ones with a truck. We headed up the ping pong ball toss. It was fun and very busy. When we go up there it takes us 75 minutes to go 26 miles because the roads are very very windie and in some areas only one lane so we have to move over into the weeds to allow the other car to pass. It's pretty wild! It rained last night (a real gully washer) so we did not get too many in Church today (14). It was a great meeting anyway.
I'm going to add a bunch of pictures along with comments. Sister Pitman
