What exciting days we are having! Yesterday our first stop was to take a plate of cookies to Sister Debbie who is our Relief Society teacher and got to meet her husband Sam for the first time. Then we decided to go visit Francillia (inactive member) at the mansion where she works to bring her a plate of cookies. She was not there but the owner (her boss) was and we had a great talk with him. He showed us around his 15 room hotel which would be perfect for a family reunion in Dominica. Then he served us fresh squeezed grapefruit juice from his trees. He will be having a grand opening in about one month with the full facilities available. We gave him a copy of the Book of Mormon which he promises to read.

Then we went on to Trafalger falls area and went up a little road to find a lovely family with a little boy, Randell, who took us on the best ever tour of the hot tubs and hot springs. They are caretakers of a little resort with about 5 cabins. Elder Pitman wants to spend a night there and then go to the hot tubs (see photos). We had a very special visit with his father, David, who said "Your on time", meaning he had been waiting for us to come teach him the Gospel. As we talked with him he had tears rolling down his face. He had been given a copy of the Book of Mormon some time ago by the daughter, of the former owner of the resort, Fred, no kidding, who passed away last year. He is the person who built all of the cabins, stairways, rock work, and hot tubs. She had to take her copy of the Book of Mormon back as she said she could not leave it with him. So we gave him a copy for his own. He was very happy. We will get back with him also.

Randell, wow, what can I say about Randell. He was the first person we met at the "Resort". He showed us a nearby area of the river where steam was coming out of the ground, just enough information to catch our interest. We started over to another area and he said we could not go there. He suggested that for a fee of $2.00 it might be possible, but he would need to ask. His mother came out and said it would be OK. $2.00 in his pocket. We went up the path past a jungle bungalo where his father was working. He asked his dad if we could go to the hot tubs, Randell's favorite place. Dad said OK if Randell promised not to go swimming. Off we went. What a gig. Jungle vines, rocks, stairs, the threat of pythons and boas, Indiana Jones would have been proud of Helen. Oh, our guide got another $3 because he did such a great job. We could not have had a better guide. We are coming back here for lots of reasons.
