Sister Marina is our seminary teacher and is known as a Rastafarian (notice the long hair, which comes to her waist, in dreadlocks). We started a new program whereby we ask each of the members of our group to provide their testimony which we then type up and give to them to place in a copy of the Book of Mormon (which we give them) along with their photo. After she gave her first book away she came to us absolutely shining with happiness as her gift was accepted. She said it makes her feel important to be able to give information about the Gospel! One other member has given us his testimony and he already has someone he wants to give it to.

Back in Dominica, this is the flyer which we passed out in the community (500 of them). We have 2 investigators that came from that open house. They are Rosa and Hubert who are very very poor. Hubert has read over 100 pages in the Book of Mormon and can tell us all about it what he has read. He is 69 years of age and we are looking for clothing for him. He lives in abject poverty.

We took a little walk along the beach on St. Kitts.

The men in the first row are the senior couples husbands and the back row has the Presidents of the islands.

President Hymas is on the left and President Alvarado is on the right. The rest are either branch presidents Bishops. The one with the tan pants is our group leader, President Durrant.

Its hard to believe this is a flower, but it is real!

This is a senior couple, the Burdicks from Flagstaff and Avondale.

Our dear President Alvarado and wife (seated) and Elder Udall (from Mesa Mountain View) standing.

It was very cold in our conference room and Elder Udall (the kind guy that he is) gave me his jacket. He is the one seated in this picture.

These photos are not in the order I wanted, but just to get them on is quite a feat. After our open house we needed a few hours of respite so we went to our favorite spot (Sunset Bay restaurant and resort) and after a bite to eat, just sat together with our feet up on the deck watching the waves come in.

Frustration about the blog! Somehow we cannot get the last 3 months of posts in chronological order. Soooo, we will start here and hope we can correct the problem in the near future. Also, it is not allowing me to put in photos.
Here is a photo of the flyer we distributed for the open house. We have 2 people who have come 2 Sundays in a row that we found through the open house.
We were sent to Antigua and then on to St. Kitts last week for a zone conference. It was wonderful as we learned much and had the opportunity to mingle with our fellow senior couples and the Elders boys as well as our mission presidency.
We did have a little time to explore on St. Kitts and Elder Pitman and I had a chance to take a little walk. We discovered this amazing flower which even in the photo is hard to believe it is real.
Still having problems with the blog so I am going to publish what is in for now.
